From the Stockyards to the Stock Market: A Discussion about the Texas Stock Exchange
The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) is coming to Dallas—but what does that really mean for our city, our state, and for investors? Who needs another stock exchange, and why Texas?
Join us for a timely and thought-provoking conversation featuring:
• Nicole Chambers, Global Managing Director of Listings at the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) & SMU Alumna
• Alan McKnight, Chief Investment Officer at Regions Bank
Together, they’ll explore how TXSE could reshape the financial landscape and what its arrival could mean for Dallas, Texas, and the broader economy.
This event is part of the Fall 2025 Texas Economic Forum, hosted by the Bridwell Institute at SMU’s Cox School of Business. The Bridwell Institute’s mission is to study the nature, causes, and consequences of economic freedom, and they have generously extended an invitation to the Dallas Business Club to attend.
📅 When: Wednesday, October 15
🥂 Reception: 4:00 PM
🎤 Panel Discussion: 5:00 PM
📍 Where: Crum Auditorium, Collins Executive Education Center, SMU
The event is free of charge, but RSVP is required so the Bridwell Institute can share parking details, logistics, and event updates.
