Ring the Bell at an Iconic Red Kettle!
Calling all companies, firms, organizations and individuals to Ring the Bell this season for those in need right here in DFW - and do so from the warmest, driest, well-positioned kettles in the metroplex inside Northpark Mall!
You are probably aware that the Salvation Army is gearing up to man the iconic red kettles. What you may NOT know, is that that they fill the gaps in volunteers with paid staff, which - for all of you MBAs - cuts into the net funds for use supporting programs. This year, they are coordinating with companies and groups all across the metroplex to take a kettle for 1 full day.
Three of the DBC board members, Bob Dill (Emory), Stacie Hyatt (Wharton) and Alden McCall (Thunderbird), are active on the Salvation Army's Carr P. Collins Advisory Council, and the DBC itself has roots in the Salvation Army. In the early days, the board would meet in the Salvation Army's offices thank you to Scotty Landry (SMU).
This is a special year! For the first time, your company or group can be visibility recognized for supporting a kettle while bell ringing. In addition to the warm fuzzies you get for knowing you are doing a wonderful thing, here are a few commercial benefits to consider:
- Can wear company logo'd clothing.
- Can have a sign with your company name next to the kettle.
- Great visual PR opportunities - press releases, social media, etc.
- Wonderful exposure to upscale clientele.
- Positive messaging as your company is charitable and supports the local community.
We have access to 5 kettles every day from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, so there are many opportunities during the week or on weekends to consider. The company/group would just create its own staffing plan for that kettle(s) for that day(s) and the Salvation Army does the rest! Your team just needs to show up!
OR . . . If you or your group does not have the time, you can Sponsor a Kettle for only $100 or Sponsor a Day (all 5 kettles) for $500!
For more information, to pick a day or sponsor a kettle, contact Bob Dill at email@example.com.
